EP Review: Obsolete Man – A Short History Of Decay (Self Released)

Obsolete Man is a brand new hardcore/power-violence band from San Francisco, CA set to independently release their debut EP, A Short History Decay on the 6th March 2020.

After a slow but short build, Obsolete Man make their entrance in ear-bleeding style. Erupting like an angry volcano ready to spew its molten death over the town below it, this is a band with a lot of fury to expel. Something they in glorious hardcore style over five excellent tracks that will beat you around the head until you’re dizzy.

Their aggression is on another level, exemplified by the fierce Violence and vicious Guilt. It might only be 10 minutes long but in a very short amount of time, Obsolete Man make a hell of an impression. This young band are clearly here to take no prisoners and with heavy music this penetrating and this commanding, few will survive their onslaught.
