Album Review: Rogga Johansson – Entrance to the Otherwhere (Transcending Obscurity Records)

Rogga Johansson is the eponymous band of the unheralded death metal legend who’s responsible for masterminding other bands such as Paganizer, Revolting, The Grotesquery, Necrogod and many others. This here is his solo project and he’s created some of the best music you’ll hear where classic Swedish death metal goes. Entrance to the Otherwhere will be released on the 19th July 2019 via Transcending Obscurity Records.

Album Review: Left Limbs – Hexes (Buzzhowl Records)

Austin, Texas drone duo Left Limbs will release their second album on 26th July 2019. Titled ‘Hexes’, the album will be available via Buzzhowl Records. Engineered by Jason Morales at BBQ Shack in Austin and mastered by Kris Lapke, the two track album can be pre-ordered on limited edition cassette and digital download now.

Album Review: Boatman’s Toll – The Fat is in the Fire (Seeing Red Records)

Originally released in 2017, to celebrate signing with Seeing Red Records, Chicago’s Boatman’s Toll will release a label version of their album, The Fat is in the Fire. One that includes a brand new song ‘Fossil’ ( as a preview of what is to come) as well as a cover of Acid Bath’s ‘The Blue’. This new version will be released via Seeing Red Records on the 19th July 2019.

Album Review: The Lowest – Cult (Hasiok Records)

The Lowest is a Polish hardcore band, founded in Warsaw in 2012. Their new album, Cult is a hybrid of heavy, gloomy hardcore riffs combined with catchy melodies and punk energy. A 10 track concept album with lyrics touching different aspects of religiosity, from the primeval atavistic cults to the 20th century sects.
