Album Review: Khôrada – Salt (Prophecy Productions)

Rising from the ashes of Agalloch and Giant Squid, a new group is born: Khôrada. Featuring former Agalloch members Don Anderson (guitar), Jason Walton (bass) and Aesop Dekker (drums) alongside ex-Giant Squid guitarist / vocalist Aaron John Gregory, Khôrada creates colossal, textured, and emotionally powerful music. The group will release its debut album, ‘Salt’ on July 20th 2018 via Prophecy Productions.

Album Review: Black Fast – Spectre of Ruin (eOne)

There isn’t a single clean passage, moody interlude, orchestral intro, or shoegazing break on Black Fast’s unapologetically destructive third album, Spectre of Ruin. From start to finish, thrash metal fury is the business of Black Fast… and business is very good. The album will be out on July 13th 2018 via eOne.

Album Review: Armory – The Search (High Roller Records)

Armory are a speed/thrash metal outfit from the city of Gothenburg, originally formed in the late summer of 2012 (out of the ashes of a band called Resurrector). After two demo tapes and the well-regarded debut album called World Peace … Cosmic War (issued via High Roller Records in 2016), they are back with a brand new studio effort called The Search out on July 13th 2018 via High Roller Records.
