EP Review: We Too, Will Fade – Everything Falls Apart as It Should (Midsummer Records)
After a raw and intense EP debut, We Too, Will Fade is back with a three-track short emotional outburst called ‘Everything Falls Apart as It Should’. Released in early December 2020.
Wow. Where has this band been hiding? We Too, Will Fade deliver a stonkingly strong showcase of emotionally charged post hardcore with this new EP.
Three tracks long, My Dying Friend’s powerful chorus is a major selling point of this track. Where grander and cleaner vocals ring out loud. However, the crash of riffs, bass and drums around it makes it immensely clear that this is every bit a metal track. Controlled wildness and infectious rhythm thrill the senses.
I Tried My Best is just as good, especially as it has a ton more melody and drips with heart-breaking sentiment. A genuinely brilliant piece of music, if there’s one track you should check out it is this one. Then it’s over. The finale of the title track, just 2-minutes of ambient melody and harmonious vocals.
It’s over far too quickly but this might be your new favourite post-hardcore band.
