The line-up this year is one of the best the festival has ever managed to put together. With a huge range of established & up-and-coming bands spread across the four days. Bloodstock is all about variety within the metal scene, booking bands that often haven’t even played in the UK yet. One such band is Wind Rose.

As part of the Thursday night small line-up, Wind Rose are a reason to make sure you get down nice & early to the festival! We loved their single To Erebor & consider them one of one of The Top 10 Bands to see this year!

We’re very proud to bring you an interview with Wind Rose.

1. Tell us a bit about yourselves. How’d you get started as a band?

We started as a Dream Theater cover band back in 2006. Later we found the right musicians to start composing our own material and officially started our career in 2009.

2. How are you feeling about playing Bloodstock this year?

We are feeling so freaking excited to play there, mainly because it’s the very first time we play in the UK and that’s a really famous festival all around Europe.

3. What can people expect from your set?

The most known songs from Wardens of the West Wind and Stonehymn.

4. What bands (if any) are you hoping to check out while you’re there?

We won’t stay at the festival as we need to get back home the day after our performance. By the way I would have been excited to see Ghost and Wintersun.

5. What’s the future plans for the band?

We are already composing the new album and we are planning to do an Euro tour in fall 2017/ early 2018.

We’d like to thank Wind Rose for taking the time to speak with us. Make sure you check them out at Bloodstock & on their future tours. You can keep up to date with the band’s touring schedule using BandsInTown.
