Top 5 Games That Turn Your Xbox One X Into A Bona Fide Casino

So, you’re sitting there, controller in hand, and you get the sudden itch to play some casino games. What do you do? Well, for moments like these, I’ve got you covered with the definitive top 5 casino-themed games you can play right now on your Xbox One X.

Here we go:

5.    Super Blackjack Battle II Turbo Edition

Let’s start off with Headup GmbH’s over-the-top retro-styled action-adventure game: Super Blackjack Battle II Turbo Edition.

Did you ever wonder how Street Fighter would play if, instead of one-on-one brawls, you would challenge your opponent to a Blackjack game? Neither did I, but I am happy that someone thought of it.

Super Blackjack Battle II introduces a cast of 12 unique and colourful characters from all around the globe, competing among each other in the race to become the best Blackjack player of all time.

You receive an invitation to face off with your opponents from the owner of Las Vegas’s largest casino and renowned crime family Godfather. Should you choose to accept the offer, spoilers, you get to even challenge the Mafia boss himself in a final gloriously pixelated showdown.

Super Blackjack Battle II is good fun and pretty tongue in cheek while also proving a decent gambling simulator.

If the off-the-rails story mode is not enough, you can play local multiplayer games with up to four of your friends.

Granted, Super Blackjack Battle II Turbo Edition is not a one-to-one representation of Blackjack, but it’s fun and charming. You should try it, as it is also available on Xbox One.

4.    The Four Kings Casino & Slots

Digital Leisure’s social MMO gives you the whole casino experience deal in simulated form. You get to customize the 3D avatar you will take onto a multiplayer gambling adventure.

There’s a lot to do around The Four Kings’ world, from Texas Hold’em Poker to Slots, Blackjack, Roulette, and more.

Now, what will motivate you to gamble on these games?

If you’re the social type, pay the low limit tables a visit and chat and play at your own pace. As you get a grip on the world, grind your way up to the VIP and High-Roller sections for some high-stake and high-adrenaline fun. Trust me, there are rewards galore. Now, you always receive something for your gameplay, but get this, top-ranked players get exclusive in-game rewards at each season’s end, including a place and picture in the Hall of Fame. Sounds royal, right?

The Four Kings Casino & Slots is a popular entry into the casino game catalogue, and no wonder: you literally embark on a high-rolling casino adventure in a virtual MMO setting.

3.    Prominence Poker

Ever wondered how it is to sit down at a table with a bunch of mobsters, play some poker, and see where it leads? Prominence Poker, developed by 505 Games, has got you covered. Set in the sinful city of Prominence, you gamble your way up to the mysterious figure of “The Mayor” on a mission to take over the underground poker empire.

What it lacks in-game type variation, Prominence Poker makes up in impeccable design and narrative direction. You start off as a newcomer and hustle your way into backroom games, set in memorable backdrops, such as the dive Biker Bar, or the Prominence Kleaners Laundromat, in an effort to corner the quirky and memorable faction leaders into a Texas Hold’em showdown.

It’s like GTA with cards instead of guns and cars.

If the story mode is not enough, you can always join two to six multiplayer rooms in ring, tournament, or heads-up modes.

It’s not like Poker needed a lot more to be appealing. Still, Prominence Poker raises the stakes for what a Poker simulator can be. Xbox One X gamers, this is one game that you should try.

2.    Poker Club

Let’s stay in Poker territory with Ripstone’s Poker Club. This is the game if you want a full immersive sim experience. The game has clear and beautiful Ultra HD 4K graphics with a ray-tracing that makes you think you’re really sitting at a pro table at times.

Poker Club keeps on the realistic side, but for what it does, it does pristinely. When I say it is a Poker simulator, I do mean it. Everything, from mechanics to presentation, is evocative of the real-life gambling setup. And for what is going on behind the screen, I have to say that Poker Club has made the most efforts to truly turn its gameplay into a real wager. Cards are extracted in real-time from the server, so you need not worry about rigged rounds.

What more can I say? With a generous 11 Texas Hold’em tournament modes offer, including freezeouts, shootouts, super-turbos, and bounties, you’ll spend a lot of time with the game. And you won’t stagnate, as you’ll make your way from underground rounds up to high-roller main events in the PCC Poker Tour. And there’s the PCC Showdown finale, the place where you want to get to.

You may then change things up and join multiplayer rooms of up to six players, and even get this, upstart your own Club. Ripstone has put a lot of care into social elements. You can create your own fully customizable playroom that will be open to the whole community or just your friends.

I cannot recommend poker Club enough, as it has a lot going for it, and it would be a shame for you to miss it.

1.    Grand Theft Auto V: The Diamond Casino Heist Update

I know, GTA V is a lot more than a casino sim, but I can’t help it. Following the Diamond Casino & Resort update, you can add gambling to the list of activities you can sink hours in on GTA Online.

You always had racing bets, both in single and multiplayer, so wagering was never absent. Still, following the addition of the new casino-themed area, gambling became more than just present.

You get the chance to play Three Card Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, Slots, bet on Inside Track horse races, and even spin the lucky wheel.

And it was expected. GTA titles always had their fair share of casino minigames, starting with Vice City and culminating with GTA San Andreas, where you spend a lot of late-game time in the Vegas-like Las Venturas.

Now, I could’ve chosen other Rockstar titles, most notably the Red Dead Redemption games, but if it’s the modern casino setting and gambling you desire, GTA Online goes a long way.

GTA Online is full to the brim with activities, to the point of, and I hate to say this, becoming an experience or service, more than a standalone game. But, if I am to give props where props are due, Rockstar outdid themselves with GTA Online, casino activities included.

I don’t need to tell you to get GTA V. The game is great. You should just try it. Boot up your Xbox One and pay Diamond casino a visit.

Any other Titles?

There are tons, and I do mean tons of games that either portray gambling or, and here’s where it gets interesting, hide it and make you wager your real funds. For a full list of such titles, go and read through the top 123 video games that turned into gambling. Each entry has a thorough explanation of the background gambling-like mechanics that you might not have observed and considered.

You’re sure to find something surprising among the covered games.
