Horror Movie Review: Anonymous 616 (2018)

A lesson in minimalist film-making and operating on a super low budget but still having class, Anonymous 616 is a tense and smart horror. At least up until its disappointing finale. Yes, it drops the ball in the final quarter of the movie but up to that point, Anonymous 616 is very impressive.

Horror Movie Review: Demonica (2014)

A comedy horror, Demonica is set in the 80s and tells the story about a group of young adults who get trapped in a skating rink overnight while partying. That doesn’t sound so bad now, does it? Well, this skating rink has a problem…a demon related problem.

Horror Movie Review: Bleed (2002)

Bleed is a bit of an odd one. It has all the makings of your bog-standard slasher horror. One with a predictable twist. However, it tells a fairly interesting story that has you wondering just what is actually going on for a while.

Horror Movie Review: Steelmanville Road (2017)

The follow up to the better then expected Bad Ben goes the prequel route. A fine idea as there certainly was a bit of mystery about it but in the end we get a half-hearted found footage horror that drops logic and sense for an abundance of scare attempts. With very few actually managing to land.

Horror Movie Review: Clown Motel (2019)

Two different groups, one a bunch of ghost hunters and the other a bachelorette party end up at an abandoned motel. There they make the unfortunate discovery that the place is haunted by the souls of clowns. Beings that are evil, twisted and only satisfied when they have killed everyone who visits the Clown Motel.

Horror Movie Review: Bad Ben (2016)

Taking the found footage style, inspired by Paranormal Activity and keeping it really simple, Bad Ben is a nice surprise. A nice surprise for those who have been ground down by the constant slew of lazy and unwatchable found footage horrors.
