A series that has got steadily worse and worse until it is near unwatchable. It seemed as though we’d reached the lowest point possible with Evil Bong High-5 and Evil Bong 666 so going into Evil Bong 777, there really wasn’t much hope for this one.
A film of two halves, this found footage horror has a jarring shift in tone that some may like but many will hate. Evidence is a movie that wastes much of its potential while also sticking rigidly to what you’d expect from a found footage horror.
Oh we’re really scrapping the barrel of 80’s horror here. Evil Clutch aka Il Bosco 1 is a 1988 Italian horror film written and directed by Andrea Marfori. A super low-budget horror flick, even the most ardent of 80’s Italian horror will struggle with this one.
The Devil’s Rain is uniquely absurd with a cast that beggars belief and a story that blurs the lines of real and movie-based Satanism. A 1975 Satanic horror movie that has some very unique propositions about it.
Taking its cues from franchises of old in regards to calling itself ‘The Final Chapter’ when it really isn’t, Badder Ben (terrible title) is the third movie in the Bad Ben series. It continues the story set up in the original and is a direct sequel to that movie.
With Evil Bong, Full Moon Pictures have sent any goodwill towards this series up in smoke with lacklustre sequel after sequel. Evil Bong 666 does little to change that.
The Convent is a surprisingly entertaining flick. One with tongue in cheek comedy, over the top performances and lashings of gore.
A lesson in minimalist film-making and operating on a super low budget but still having class, Anonymous 616 is a tense and smart horror. At least up until its disappointing finale. Yes, it drops the ball in the final quarter of the movie but up to that point, Anonymous 616 is very impressive.
