EP Review: TX2 – We’re Going To Hell For This… (Self Released)
Following the breakout success of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘End of Us’, TX2 are back with their new EP, ‘We’re Going to Hell for This…’, arriving July 30th.
The world is well and truly theirs for the taking, and no more proof is needed than this new EP that showcases expanded ideas and an even better ear for what modern alternative audiences want. TX2 make it seem so easy, especially when it comes to showing off range. THE HUMAN DISEASE and Confession are different, but the common denominator is TX2 and how anthemic both tracks are. I think both tracks will find audiences and turn even more people on to the alternative stylings of TX2. The latter’s salacious way is so cool, and bassist Corky really adds a lot with her vocals.
Talking about finding different audiences though, Evil is Contagious gives us a collaboration we never knew we needed, but a collaboration that feels so damn necessary now. TX2 and Reel Big Fish combine forces to create one of 2026’s catchiest anthems. A bright and brilliant blend of alternative rock and metal with pop-punky bounce and ska energy.
It’s not easy to follow that, but I Know What You Did… and Pickup Truck have plenty more to offer. The former, dreamy and melodic, but with some really potent lyrics. The latter, punchy and sharp, but undeniably infectious. Par for the course with TX2, right?
You know third gear is pretty slow, right?
Get out of their way, because they’re not stopping. TX2 are on course to be one of the biggest alternative acts in the world.
