Demo Review: Reputdeath – Dissecting Goryfication (Necrolatry Records)
Old-school death metal filth-mongers, Reputdeath return with a brand-new demo called ‘Dissecting Goryfication’. It features 4 tracks with the vocal work of Takashi Tanaka (Anatomia/Wormridden). We can thank Necrolatry Records for this release.
As sickening brutal as ever, as raw and uncivilized as you could hope for, Reputdeath unleash wonderful horror on this new demo. Four tracks that conjure up images of slithering beasties in the dark corners of the underworld. Images of festering wounds, maggots and pus-filled infections. All thanks to the ruthlessness of their death metal.
Dissecting Goryfication is the equivalent of opening up a sealed room where a corpse has been sitting for the past month. That appalling smell, the files filling the room with their inane buzzing and the retching that follows, is what Dissecting Goryfication sounds like.
Too much? It’s old-school death metal and it’s not meant to make you feel good. Though that doesn’t mean it can’t. If you love your extreme metal, then Reputdeath have the talent to turn your head. Even if it is just because you’re shocked by the stench that comes from the demo.
