1. How did you get started as a band?

A Brave Face was formed in 2021 by life long friends Richard Hardy and Jonathan Robinson. After playing in multiple Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, and Metalcore bands separately and together, we formed ABF as a side project. However during pandemic lock downs it became our main focus.

2. How would you describe your sound?

Officially we are Pop/Rock but we have elements of folk/singer/songwriter stuff as well as some good rocky parts.

3. What bands/artists would you say have influenced your style of music?

We draw inspiration from alot a musicians we grew up with Phil Collins, and Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, and The Beatles, plus a numerous amounts of 80s cock rock bands. More currently we love Charlie Puth and local rocker to us Frank Palangi.

4. Has the rise of YouTube & music streaming helped or hindered you as a band?

Definitely helped, right now we are predominantly on the net. We have plans to start doing shows this summer but right now YouTube and Streaming services like Pandora and Spotify are our bread and butter.

5. What do you enjoy doing when you’re not making music?

We operate on a lot a different mediums. On top of our music we love doing painting and photography, and we are huge video game enthusiasts. However all of this takes a sideline to time with our family and friends, we try to value what’s really important in life.

6. What are your future plans musically? Tours?

Currently we are getting ready to release a Piano and vocal version of our debut EP “LOVE, PASSION, HOPE, ESCAPE.” Which should be out early next year. Also we are recording two new singles that will be released this coming spring.
