Burial is a Swedish/Finnish influenced death/doom band from Italy. Formed in 2012 by Leonardo but the first things were recorded only in 2016, when Enrico joined the band on vocals. The Forgotten EP was released in 2019 and soon after a new demo titled ‘Presence from The Beyond’ showed the first progressions in the band’s song writing.

In 2020 the band signed with Everlasting Spew Records for the release of the first full length with a new line-up featuring Leonardo on guitars, Enrico on bass and vocals, Samuele on drums and Morgan as supporting guitars.

Inner Gateways to The Slumbering Equilibrium at The Center of Cosmos is out on October 29th, 2021.

Welcome the darkness into your mind, body and soul. Sink into the filthy quagmire that is Inner Gateways to The Slumbering Equilibrium at The Center of Cosmos. An album dripping in horror. An album focused on delivering a death and doom experience to remember.

Only 5 tracks long but what epics they are. Even the shortest track, Absent Visions Conceive Unspeakable Beings (over 5 minutes long) has an imposingness about it. Although when compared to the near 14-minute title track, it pales.

Be under no illusions, Burial isn’t your friend and this album is proof that they will be taking you to their lair with or without your approval. The moment you hit play, you’re in their dark and cold grasp and there’s no escape.

Not quite death metal and not quite doom, Burial combines the two genres spectacularly and deliver a lesson in repulsion. You’ll feel every second of this in your soul. The relief when it ends is only matched by the desire to press play and submerge yourself again.
