Let’s not pull any punches, Ouija Shark is inherently a bad movie but if you’re expecting it not to be, well…look at the title!
Two Evil Eyes is another collaboration of the highly revered and legendary horror directors, Romero and Argento, based largely on the works of Edgar Allan Poe. An anthology movie of sorts but without the filler of lesser tales and simply focusing on two fairly simplistic stories.
Six friends on their way to a wedding in Galveston stop for the night at a quaint bed and breakfast in the sleepy town of Lovelock. But after a night that ends with both the inn’s owner and his chef dead, the gang finds themselves under suspicion by the local sheriff.
In a sub-genre of horror bereft of new and fresh ideas, Savageland stands out amongst the modern crop of found footage movies.
A clever take on a horror villain that lacks originality, The Shed is vampire flick directed by Frank Sabatella with a story by Jason Rice.
Thanks to a tongue in cheek approach, some solid acting and winks to the likes of Tales from the Crypt, Tales From the Lodge is quite an enjoyable British horror.
While never quite living up to its initial promise, writer/director Neasa Hardiman tells an effective sci-fi horror tale in Sea Fever. One with unintentional links to real life events as they stand in 2020.
