Ice Queen (also known as Avalanche Run) has three writers credited. One of which is director Neil Kinsella, which is not a good sign. It screams of half-baked ideas, rewrites and when the end result is Ice Queen everyone involved should feel a little embarrassed.
Directed by Richard Friedman and starring Michael Rogen, Patty Mullen, Kristin Davis and Ruth Collins. Doom Asylum is a horror-comedy that has bad acting, terrible dialogue, awful effects and a nonsensical story yet is an entertaining movie.
The unimaginatively-titled Shark Lake is another in a long line of ‘shark’ movies made on the cheap and putting in as little effort as possible. Unlike many others in this sub-genre of horror, Shark Lake doesn’t play it for laughs.
Attending Alison’s birthday will leave no lasting impact. You’ll have an alright time. Maybe a bit of fun here and there but you’ll be tucked up in bed by 10pm. Having left early out of boredom.
Brain Damage was written and directed by Frank Henenlotter. The same mind that brought us Frankenhooker and Basket Case. His classic style of madness runs through Brain Damage like a thick and bloody vein.
Scream…you’re on TV. Kolobos (also known as Haunted House) is a 1999 horror movie directed by Daniel Liatowitsch and David Todd Ocvirk.
The Chilling is a 1989 sort of zombie horror directed by the Deland Nuse and Jack A. Sunseri, the latter of who also wrote the screenplay. It stars Linda Blair, Dan Haggerty and Troy Donahue.
With the amount of horror tropes and predictable outcomes that make up writer/director Mitch McLeod’s Silhouette, it really shouldn’t be as enjoyable a movie as it is. However, familiarity aside what we have here is an interesting and memorable horror that will leave most feeling very cold inside.
