Sitting squarely in the middle as a decent loose adaption of the novella ‘The Shadow over Innsmouth’, Cthulhu has moments of brilliance, wrapped around a lethargic plot.
Directed by David Liz, who co-wrote the film with Manuel Delgadillo, The Welder is a film with ideas. Confusing ideas that don’t really become anything of note but can certainly be commended for some originality.
