Electric Callboy – Elevator Operator

Electric Callboy are set to light up 2025 with their new single, ‘Elevator Operator’. Featuring actor Uke Bosse in the role of the operator in the music video, this track stays true to Electric Callboy’s signature style.

Guess what? This is a lot of fun! Which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to Electric Callboy over the past few years. They are nailing it, delivering another EDM-infused dance-floor anthem that just happens to have big and heavy bursts of intensity. This is going to go off live, especially with the ‘elevator music’ breakdown.

Havukruunu – Havukruunu ja Talvenvarjo

Havukruunu’s new album ‘Tavastland’ is one step closer with its second single, ‘Havukruunu ja Talvenvarjo’ out on digital platforms now.

Comments Havukruunu:

‘HAVUKRUUNU JA TALVENVARJO (The Coniferous Crown and the Wintershadow)’ is following you on the path of fierce and traditional Havukruunu, but the path is darkening unto the steps of woodland ghosts and horrible nightmares… Talvenvarjo is a grisly reminder of all you want to forget and all you refuse to believe. Welcome to the eye of ferocious wintry winds and don’t let the shadows catch you.

Majestically blackened and undeniably epic sounding, this new Havukruunu track hits hard from the start, and doesn’t let up for almost six minutes. An intensity that should be unsustainable, but Havukruunu are masters of this sound, especially when it comes to infusing dramatic atmosphere and horror-like sounds in. It flies by, leaving such a deep and dark impression.

Bury Tomorrow – Let Go

Building on a huge touring run that saw the band visit their biggest ever venues across the UK, Europe, USA, Australia and Japan, Bury Tomorrow look forward to an even bigger 2025. New single, ‘Let Go’, serves as the third preview of the recently announced LP, ‘Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience’.

The track explores concepts of honesty, as frontman Dani Winter-Bates expands:

Both within yourself and the people around you. To be dishonest with yourself leads to decisions based in fear and can lead to regret, while to be true to yourself can cost some of the things you hold closest.

Co-vocalist Tom Prendergast goes further as:

There is a sense throughout the song that we can often give all of our energy to a toxic situation and need to recognise when to cut ties to grow. Let go is about how that can shape you, change you and define your choices and your path through life – There is a cost to every choice, and there are some harder to let go of than others.

The new era of Bury Tomorrow continues with mighty aplomb as the band show off a more experimental style, while still sounding acutely ‘them’. That being their inimitable metalcore style, here, blended with EDM elements. It doesn’t immediately take hold, but as it goes on and across multiple listens, it ends up being a bit of a modern Bury Tomorrow banger.

Decline of the I – Éros N

French troubled black metallers Decline of the I are premiering their new single ‘Éros N’ in anticipation of ‘Wilhlem’; the band’s new studio album, set for release on February 14th via Agonia Records.

Black metal that is dripping in horrible and harsh atmosphere, to the point where it almost takes on a ‘post’ form. This new Decline of the I track is garishly wicked and impressively detailed. It’s a fascinating look in the deepest and darkest of depths, where the blackness seems to be solid, and the longer you stare, the more transfixed you become. The void is calling, and when it comes with tracks like this, it’s really hard to deny its pull.

Landmvrks – A Line in the Dust (feat. Mat Welsh of While She Sleeps)

French metalcore stars Landmvrks have unveiled their latest single, ‘A Line in the Dust’, featuring Mat Welsh of While She Sleeps, a track that continues to build anticipation for their forthcoming fourth album, ‘The Darkest Place I’ve Ever Been’, set for release on 25th April via Arising Empire.

One of the finest names in metalcore continue their immense march forward with another unique taste of modern alternative heaviness, one that includes the talents of While She Sleeps’ Mat Welsh adding even more power and passion to an energised and intense listen. It’s fast, it’s heavy, it’s anthemic, it’s another great Landmvrks track.

Killswitch Engage – I Believe

Three-time Grammy-nominated hard rock heavyweights and platinum-selling band Killswitch Engage are gearing up for the release of their new album ‘This Consequence’, out February 21st via Metal Blade and now they have shared the video for the new single, ‘I Believe’.

Says vocalist Jesse Leach:

‘I Believe’ is about undying hope. During difficult times perspective is everything. Knowing deep down that ‘this too shall pass’ has been a beacon of light for me. I do believe there is meaning behind suffering. If we are able to push through difficult times and come out the other side, there is a renewed sense of purpose.

I know there are much more commonalities between all of us as humans than there are differences. The good far outweighs the bad. This is my message to anyone who’s listening, things will get better! However you have to believe that they will!. There is power in faith, there is power in manifestation and prayer! Keep the faith and push forward with the confidence of better days ahead. Do not let this world pull you down into despair. Tomorrow is a new day and a new possibility for change!

The KSE train keeps on rolling on, delivering bright bursts of metalcore that sees the band stay wholly true to their core sound. So much so that it can be quite hard to differentiate between eras, and this rings true here. Not that it’s an unenjoyable track, especially as it has a bit more emotional heft, but isn’t going to set the world alight. In fact, it’s fairly boring and the chorus is really repetitive.
