Today’s single slam features Electric Callboy, Hecate Enthroned, King Kraken, Space Pistol, Fortune Teller, Amongst Liars, Castiel, and Devildriver. You can read our thoughts about the latest singles from these bands below.

Electric Callboy – Hypercharged

Electric Callboy have announced that their long-anticipated new album ‘Tanzneid’ will be released on August 7th, 2026 via Century Media Records. At the same time, the band joins forces with global gaming hit game Brawl Stars for their explosive new single and video ‘Hypercharged’, which also introduces the new character “Damian” to the Brawl Stars universe.

Why change up a winning formula? Electric Callboy keep it simple and familiar here, delivering an energetic floor filler that has the capabilities to get a crowd dancing and pitting wildly at the same time. It’s fun, silly, infectious, and heavy, an Electric Callboy special.

King Kraken – Call to War

King Kraken, the four-piece rock/metal band from South Wales, UK, have released their new single ‘Call to War’ on 17th April.

Says the band:

‘Call to War’ is the first single king kraken have released since our second album last April, we’ve picked up where we left off with March of the Gods, the same kraken sound but with more focus, grit and determination!

‘Call To War’ is a blistering new track inspired by the chilling sci-fi classic The War of the Worlds by H.G.Wells. Packed with relentless energy, the song charges forward at full throttle with thunderous riffs and pounding rhythms, while gritty yet melodic vocals cut through the chaos like a rallying cry against an unstoppable invasion. ‘Call To War’ captures the tension and drama of humanity’s fight for survival, delivering a fast-paced heavy anthem that feels both cinematic and ferocious-perfect for fans ready to march straight into the storm.

‘Call to War’ is the soundtrack to our Spring UK tour, this is your call to make it the sound of your spring as well.

Welcome back, King Kraken. Moving forward with urgency, excitability, groove, and as always, tons of heavy, anthemic qualities. The sci-fi inspiration is very them, but the whole track has a familiarity about it, if you know your King Kraken. Carrying on where they left off, which, as everyone who heard the last album knows, is no bad thing. Check it out here.

Hecate Enthroned – Deathless in the Dryad Glade

Hecate Enthroned, the legendary architects of British symphonic black metal, have unveiled the official music video and single for ‘Deathless in the Dryad Glade’. It serves as the second glimpse into their upcoming opus, ‘The Corpse of a Titan, A Lament Long Buried’, set to be unleashed upon the world on May 29th via M-Theory Audio.

Proclaims vocalist Joe Stamps:

Deathless in the Dryad Glade is a chronicle of being led astray by malevolent woodland entities. It is a tale of cosmic horror and a transformation where one becomes ‘one with nature’ in the most unsettling and permanent of ways.

Dark, horrifying, and quite twisted, this new Hecate Enthroned is a glorious slice of potent wickedness. Where a slow-paced melodic intro fails to prepare the mind for the frantic ferocity and speed that follows. Of course, as the track goes on, more layers of symphonic grandeur slide in and Hecate Enthroned expand upon the breadth of their black metal sound in impressive ways.

Space Pistol – Space Pirate

Alt-rock, grunge, and ADHD-fuelled chaos rockers, Space Pistol have rapidly built a reputation as one of the UK’s loudest, wildest, and most unforgettable live acts. Known for their distortion-drenched sound, colossal riffs, and high-octane delivery, the band’s shows are a full-throttle sensory assault: unpredictable, electrifying, and impossible to ignore. Now, the band present their first single since the 2024 album ‘Leave with Everything’, the single is titled ‘Space Pirate’.

A band that revels in being indefinable, Space Pistol continue to confound and delight in equal measures with this track. Where rock meets punk, alternative groove blends with riff-driven metal flashes, and there’s an overriding sense of chaos to everything. It’s like listening to a modern At The Drive-In. Check it out here.

Fortune Teller – Lucid State

South Wales pop punk quintet Fortune Teller have released their new single, ‘Lucid State’. It follows the release of their debut EP, ‘Premonitions’.

The band have this to say about ‘Lucid State’;

Lucid State is one of those rare songs where everything just clicked. We started working on it in the practice room while messing around with a new idea and it came together almost effortlessly. It’s a slower track for us, but probably one of the most powerful songs we’ve written. Mason completely nailed the lyrics, and we genuinely feel like it’s some of our best work to date.

I do love it when a talented pop punk band turns their attention to digging a bit deeper into themselves and getting more melodically charged, while retaining a certain amount of potency. That is what Fortune Teller do here, delivering a dramatic banger that is quite punchy none the less. It will stick in the mind long afterwards. Check it out here.

Amongst Liars – Repair Myself

Amongst Liars, the acclaimed hard rockers, are back with their new single and video, ‘Repair Myself’.

A fresh and modern sounding hard rock effort that comes with plenty of alternative twists, this new Amongst Liars’ track hits hard. Energised and excited, it’s a band at the height of their powers, delivering something interesting and infectious. A proper crowd pleaser.

Castiel – Act I: Defile // Denounce

Austrian deathcore collective Castiel have announced their new EP All Returns to Hollow and Silence, set for release on 24th July via Seek and Strike. An immersive conceptual release, the EP will unfold chapter by chapter, beginning with the opening salvo, ‘Act I: Defile // Denounce’.

The quality of this track doesn’t just come from the deathcore, which is substantial of course, it comes from the atmosphere and clever injection of melody. It’s nasty as heck, but it’s got layers that make it more unique and more potent. Check it out here.

Devildriver – Dig Your Own Grave

After numerous world tours, ten full length albums, and globally recognised acclaim, unstoppable groove metal masters Devildriver bore full speed ahead. Announcing their explosive eleventh full length, Strike and Kill, out July 10, 2026, via Napalm Records.

Alongside that announcement, they have also unleashed the album opener, ‘Dig Your Own Grave’.

Giving off some old-school Devildriver vibes, this new track is a groove monster with real bite. Giving off a rawer feel, the speed and ferocity is on point, yet like classic Devildirver, that still translates into something that’s got a catchiness to it. They’ve not sounded this strong in some time.
