Netflix’s strong run of good animated TV shows adapted from/based upon video game properties doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, with the latest to appear on the streaming giant’s service being Devil May Cry. An adaption of Capcom’s beloved action-adventure video game series.

Premiering on Netflix in October 2024, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is an animated TV show based on the iconic video game series. It comes from showrunner Tasha Huo and stars Hayley Atwell as the voice of Lara Croft.
Created by John Whittington and Toby Ascher for Paramount+, Knuckles takes place between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3, due to be released at the end of 2024. The series premiered on April 26, 2024.
From writer and director Daniel Roemer, comes Chaser. A sci-fi thriller with light comedy moments, that rises above its humdrum opening episode to be an imaginatively wild and fun ride. Starring Gia Bay, Russ Russo, and Daniel de Weldon, it tells a complex story about power and what happens when it is abused.
Fallout isn’t just a good TV show, it is an excellent TV show. Even outside of the ‘video game adaption’ tag it comes with. Everyone can enjoy this, and that might be what truly makes it so successful. That we would ever get something this accurate to the franchise, and it not be terrible fan service, is simply amazing.
