Horror Movie Review: Summer of 84 (2018)

Who doesn’t love a horror movie set in the 80s? Alright, the decade in which a movie is set doesn’t automatically make it great. Still, it usually adds a little something, at least to me. Summer of 84 is a horror-mystery film that was directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell. It premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2018.

Horror Movie Review: Don’t Leave Home (2018)

Don’t Leave Home is a horror/thriller that was written & directed by Michael Tully, it released in 2018. Melanie Thomas is an artist who specializes in miniatures or dioramas. She’s about to unveil her new sculptural exhibit on Irish urban legends. However, she receives a negative review from a well-known critic during a preview event. Melanie is devastated until she is contacted by Father Alistair Burke. He’s a reclusive Irish priest who allegedly once painted the portrait of a young girl who later disappeared on the very day her image vanished from the painting.

Horror Movie Review: Mermaid’s Song (2018)

Thanks to Disney, Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid is one of the most famous fairy tales out there even if the animation company took a much lighter view on it. Anderson’s original story was a lot darker which is the perfect inspiration for Mermaid’s Song (also known as Charlotte’s Song). A horror take on the classic story.
