Interview: Catching Up With The Chuck Norris Experiment
It has been a little while since we checked in on the Swedish rock band The Chuck Norris Experiment, so in this interview we catch up with them and see what’s been going on since we last spoke.
1. Hello! Welcome back. It’s been a little while, so first things first, how are you and have there been any significant changes since we last spoke?
Hey there! Nice talking to you again! The big happening right now is that we are releasing our album HOT STUFF III on January 29. It is a compilation of non-album tracks from the last couple of years taken from split singles, B-sides, tributes and compilations.
Otherwise I think the most are the same, we keep on doing what we love, blowing gigs, and making new records.
2. So, what’s new? What’s keeping you busy this time around? A new album/EP/single release? A new video? Playing live, or planning ahead?
We have a very interesting spring and summer with shows in Finland, Spain, UK and Germany, and after that we have to record our next studio album.
3. Describe what fans/listeners can expect.
The next studio album will be a notch harder, and have a nice taste of classic UK hard rock from the 80’s. Not the glammy shit, we are talking old school hard rock!

4. Tell me about the work that has gone into making it a reality and what it means to you to see it come to fruition?
Making a new album is my favourite part of being in a band! The whole song writing period and then show the songs for the band and playing them until they sound just right! We like to do it the old school way, we sweat out a new album.
5. Sum up what this latest development says about you and where you find yourself at this moment in time?
We are exactly where we want to be, we have a wonderful label to work with, we get to play good rock clubs all over Europe, and we get to meet all these fantastic people out there! It is well needed in these fucked up times.
6. Has the time since we last spoke been a mostly positive period and has there been any one thing that stands out as being good?
Once again, to release HOT STUFF III is a highlight in my life! The album sounds amazing and it looks even better! All the songs are recorded in the same studio in almost the same time, so it sounds like a pretty awesome studio album.
7. How about something that has challenged you since we last spoke? Has there been any thing that tested you, and if so, how did you overcome it?
Spotify and all these algorithm driven platforms test us all the time. It is a bloody shame we need them, but we do. The world would be a much better place with only vinyl, tapes and CDs. Haha, we’re old.
8. What is a realistic goal you’d like to achieve over the next 12 months?
To write and record a new album is a great goal for our next 12 months! And to play more cool places in cities we never been to before!
Thanks for having me!
