Twenty-five years after the release of their first album together (A Prayer Under Pressure of Violent Anguish), MY RUIN return not as a band rehashing the past, but as a duo evolved through decades of creative independence, multiple side projects — (SWTEVL, Neanderthal, Teenage Time Killers, The Birds Of Satan & The LVRS, along with Tairrie’s solo hip hop recordings) and a refusal to bow to industry expectations.
Paying homage to their earliest collaboration—reigniting the flame which sparked the fiery feminist anthem of “Beauty Fiend” back in 2000—MY RUIN delivers an unapologetic call to action for women who refuse to be silenced.
A visceral, full-circle reclamation of power, “The Audacity” confronts entrenched ageism, sexism, and the double standards still weaponized against women in music, politics and culture. Evoking decades of lived experience, with a testament to surviving in an industry that worships youth, punishes maturity, and fears women who speak with conviction. A tribute to every woman who’s fought through the swords of misogyny designed to diminish her with a love letter to resilience and a celebration of getting older, louder, wiser—and impossible to diminish. More than a continuation, it’s an evolution. With time comes wisdom, but rage has no age.
“The Audacity” arrives on the heels of MY RUIN’s blistering comeback single “Compromised” released last month in solidarity with nationwide No Kings protests.
This first offering delivered a direct & defiant message of intent with a scathing critique of the current Traitor-in-Chief, whose actions, ideologies, and decisions betray the core democratic values of the United States.
Its release reintroduced the band with a scorched-earth clarity—one that sets the thematic tone for the new album.

Declaration Of Resistance marks a defining chapter for MY RUIN—a politically charged, socially conscious, musically ferocious magnum opus recorded in their Knoxville home studio The Magick Room.
Co-produced by Mick & Tairrie, the album fuses classic metal, hardcore, punk, doom, rap/rock, and spoken-word ferocity into an 11-track assault that confronts the current American crisis head-on. The more hostile the world becomes with political violence & division, the more fiercely MY RUIN is driven to create something that connects and speaks beyond the noise with a meaningful message. Declaration Of Resistance is an anti-authoritarianism manifesto in musical form—one that stands with marginalized communities, denounces political violence, and reclaims the space for art as outspoken resistance.
