Weekly Review Roundup: Monday 24th November 2025 – Friday 28th November 2025

From glorious post rock, to potent alternative sounds and sinister death metal, to exciting modern metal and nu-infused industrial heaviness, we’ve reviewed some great releases this week, and here’s our weekly reminder of what was covered. All these releases are out now!

EF – Give Me Beauty… or Give Me Death! (20th Anniversary) (Pelagic Records)

I think it goes without saying that this album is a must listen for everyone, let alone every post rock fan. Harpy – VII (Self Released)

Ambition well and truly realised, Harpy set out to make something special and that is what we have here. Love it or loathe it, it personifies Harpy and her charismatic creative spirit. Long may she continue to burn as bright as she does here.

Underking – Dungeon Crawler (Self Released)

Devilhusk – Sleep Like the Dead (Self Released)

It has been a good year for Devilhusk and to cap it off, we now have this stonkingly good EP. Which, if you’ve been paying attention to the singles released so far, you’ll know is a noisy, intense, and inventive release. Modern metal, twisted into a gnarled shape by old-school nu-metal, salacious industrial elements, and hard-hitting breakcore, trap, and dubstep sounds.
