EP Review: Analog Amara – Slowly Falling Apart (Self Released)
Rockers Analog Amara will release their debut EP, ‘Slowly Falling Apart’ on November 7th, 2025. The EP reflects moments of emotional unraveling, connection slipping away, memory taking over, and the quiet question of what comes next.

A word that can be used to define this release is ‘emotional’, and while it’s one of many, it’s fair to say that it’s probably the most prevalent. All because the musical combination, a potent blend of rock and pop given an anthemic injection, oozes heart and soul from the first track to the last. Analog Amara aren’t doing anything particularly fresh, but that’s ok because they deliver some really strong music that has obvious universal appeal.
So much of the ‘strength of feeling’ that comes from this EP is because of the vocals and Amanda Hawkins sounds great regardless of power. However, this EP is also a notable example of how strong a unified force can be and together with Max Powers and Jim Wilcox, they create appealing rock music that has varied creative moments and so much that stays with you afterwards.
It opens with a high-powered and melody-focused effort called Never Even Happened, an immediate showcase of the band’s immense depth and ability to be catchy, even while sounding so poignant. Then there is the dramatic As Good as You, a track with a grungy underbelly, and Is It All, a track with big vocals and punchy riffs. Each as infectious as the other, ensuring most will be eagerly awaiting what comes next. Which just so happens to be a personal favourite, the sweet So Far Away.
Here Analog Amara hit us with a whirlwind of emotion, and power up so impressively in the chorus, that it’s simply impossible to not love it. Though I also have zero complaints about Saving Grace either, other then the fact that it’s the last track. Analog Amara’s melodies are creative, every instrument shines, there are clever twists that give it a more robust rock vibe, the chorus is solid gold, and the vocals simply soar. What an ending.
Who cares if it lacks originality when it’s delivering such head turning efforts!
