Bloodstock 2025 Band Feature: Bad Earth

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Bloodstock time and 2025 is looking to be one of the best events the festival has ever put on, if we’re judging it by bands… which we are, of course.

Taking place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from August 7th to August 10th, Bloodstock Festival 2025 has not only sold out all its weekend tickets, but it also sold out day tickets for the Saturday and the Sunday and it seems likely that Friday will follow suit before the festival actually starts. Boasting a lineup that includes the likes of Emperor, Lacuna Coil, Ministry, Mastodon, Fear Factory, Static-X, Nailbomb, Kataklysm, Obituary, and headliners, Trivium, Machine Head, Gojira, and so much more spread across four stages, it’s going to be one hell of a weekend.

Bad Earth

It’s been over a decade since Bad Earth came into being (2014) and the group are hungrier than ever. Not just taking part in the North Wales Metal 2 the Masses event but winning the whole thing and earning their place at Bloodstock 2025. It’s more than deserved too as Bad Earth have worked tirelessly for over ten years to bring their ‘rockcore’ sound to the masses and this latest form has been in place for about five years.

Not just playing up and down the country, but also appearing at a ton of festivals like Sophiefest & Slammerfest, HRH Hammerfest, also supporting some well-known bands along the way, such as Soulfly, Phil Campbell & the Bastard Sons, Breed 77, Black Spiders, Blaze Bailey & Dub War.

In fact, they’ve even played Bloodstock before, hitting up the Jägermeister stage in 2021. It’s all about now though, and alongside working on new music for an EP to come (hopefully) later in the year, the rockcore band are promising riffs, energy, groove and so much more when they take to the Timothy Taylors New Blood stage on the Sunday of the festival.

We asked them what it means to play the festival this year, what Bloodstock overall means to them, and what attendees can expect from their set. This is what they had to say:

What a final battle to end M2TM North Wales. The competition has been a tough one and we are so proud and excited to represent North Wales on the New blood stage this year.

Bloodstock has been the highlight of our year for the past 5 years and to be added to such an incredible line up is unbelievable.

No other Metal event supports “underground” metal like BOA and to be part of it is an honour. The people attending our set on the Timothy Taylor stage Sunday 10th can expect high energy, thunderous grooves, riffs and a lot of sweat from the Rockcore power trio!
