Revealer will polarise. Finding as many who are passionate about it as there are those who find it all a bit ‘meh’. Mainly proving to be a lesson in patience.
Tokyo Haunting: The Curse of the Yokai Ghost aka Paranormal Effect is a 2010 Paranormal Activity rip-off that utilises aspects of Japanese folklore to try and be different. Some of which works, most of which doesn’t.
Tenants, an anthology horror that hits and misses, like so many others. Happily though, it’s more hits than misses.
Promising something far more creative than it inevitably can deliver, Mr. Crocket is a frustrating watch. Even with a solid story from director Brandon Espy and Carl Reid, and a strong villainous portrayal of the titular character by Elvis Nolasco.
Written and directed by Benjamin Barfoot, Daddy’s Head has a very creative concept and some of the finest acting seen in a horror/thriller this year, but it just can’t quite sustain its early promise.
