Horror Short Review: Smiling Woman 6 (2021)
Guess whose back? Diminishing results be damned, the Smiling Woman series shows no signs of slowing down. Nor does it show any signs of changing the formula up. Though that doesn’t mean it isn’t enjoyable.

A lesson about aging gracefully and accepting that you can’t halt time’s cruel touch. Happy Birthday was directed/edited by Aaron Fradkin and stars Victoria Fratz.
By Jonnie Stapleton who co-wrote it with Domenico Grasso comes The Penny Man. A phenomenal horror short that will get the hairs standing up on the back of your neck.
From independent filmmaker, Jason Gaines comes Telepresence. A horror short that uses modern technology to tell a solid and visceral story.
From Pomme Productions comes the psychological short horror film, The Barn. A baffling and surreal story that has nods to legendary filmmakers like David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock.
There’s nothing to get excited about here. The smiling woman grins and watches from afar while sending her text messages to scare her victims.
Be Careful What You Wish For was a solid horror short that gave equal amounts of mystery and horror. The unexplained nature of what happened in that short was actually a major pro and Be Careful What You Wish For 2 builds on that.
Continuing the story but not having the same character from the previous entry as the new smiling woman, Smiling Woman 4 takes place at a hospital.
