RinRin Shares New EP ‘Angels’ + Reveals Plans for Debut Album

Perth-based alternative rock rising star RinRin has released her sophomore EP, ‘Angels’, and has announced that the release will be a prelude to a debut album slated for release later this year.

The ‘Angels’ EP is a continuation of the dystopian narrative that began unravelling in 2024 with PRN. Singles Chainsaw Girl, FCKNRUN, im sad lol and PRN welcomed the new era of RinRin, taking cues from luminaries BABYMETAL, Poppy, and Bring Me The Horizon to create Rin’s own unique brand of hyper-pop-punk and metal that expounds infectious energy, produced with Chris Lalic of Windwaker.

The singles explore the fantasy-fuelled, dystopian story of Rin, based on real life—a multiverse where ‘variants’ of RinRin reside in alternate worlds, leading different lives that reflect true feelings. The EP introduces a world of lore that represents her inner self—from her troubled youth and her days within a psychiatric ward, to a new chapter of healing.

The releases have garnered support from streaming giants Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer as well as national support with multiple plays on triple j, spotlight features and rotation spots on triple j Unearthed, spins across community radio, and positive praise from leading media across the world: The AU Review raved about PRN early on, commenting that it’s “Another absolute ripper”, The Soundcheck highlights, “i’m sad lol injects some undeniably unique flair into some pop punk tropes .. with elements of fantasy and fun balancing out the vulnerable lyricism,” triple j‘s Luka Muller said Chainsaw Girl is“… HARD AS HELL! Glitched out breakdowns and brutal vocals, adore it”The Music praises RinRin’s ability to “… continue to pave her way through a relatively niche sub-scene in Australian metal” and SBS Filipino affirms “Rinrin is proving that gender and ethnicity are no barriers to pursuing one’s passion.”

No stranger to the live stage, RinRin has sold-out headline shows across the nation and supported the likes of Windwaker, RedHook, Reliqa, Caskets (UK), The Home Team (US), The Plot In You (USA), Erra (USA) and more. In April of this year, RinRin toured China supporting Walk Off The Earth’s 6-city arena tour, charming her new-found fans with her charismatic pop/rockstar aura. RinRin is represented by Destroy All Lines for Australia and New Zealand, and Triumph Music for China and Japan.

With an undeniable sense of direction, RinRin is ready to play her powerful brand of pop punk wherever it will take her. ‘Angels’ is available and streaming everywhere now – stay tuned for the next chapter.
