Norway’s Progressive Metal Band Dreamslain to Release New Single – I Am Spartacus – Out September 10th

Dreamslain is an epic progressive metal trio from Northern Norway, consisting of Anna Loppacher on keyboards, Daniel Paulsen Figenschou on drums, and Igor Jakobsen on guitars and vocals. Having released an EP and two albums, and performed in Norway, Sweden, England, Switzerland, and Portugal, they are now releasing the song ‘I Am Spartacus’ in preparation for their first UK tour.

The song is a call to action in these times of oppression, drawing a connection between the historical uprising of those enslaved by the Roman Republic and current political struggles. Composed in the rehearsal room by all three band members, it continues the narrative of rising up against injustice, as explored in their latest album Forge of Rebellion (2024).

‘I Am Spartacus’ is once again mixed by longtime collaborator Steve Walker (The Steve Walker Project) and offers a glimpse of what fans can expect from the band’s next album.
