Horror Short Review: Resident Evil Requiem (2026)
Inspired by Resident Evil Requiem. Sponsored by Capcom. This ACMofficial horror short attempts to combine the world of Resident Evil Requiem with writer/director Alex Magaña’s familiar style.
The result is something that feels like a glorified ad for the game, and not a good one.

Jules Schreiber stars as Grace Ashcroft, waiting in a hotel room, when the phone rings. She answers, and is warned to get out as ‘they’ are on their way. This is Leon S. Kennedy (voiced by Keno Vera), for some reason. He’s right to be concerned for Grace though as a zombie doctor is quietly creeping up behind her.

Except it might be a ghost also. I don’t know, the short makes no sense and feels like a handful of random scenes thrown together that only got the OK from Capcom because it would have zero impact on their franchise. It’s a bit of an insulting watch, especially as it ends with Alex Magaña appearing on screen, thanking Capcom, and shilling the game. It’s incredibly awkward.
For all their faults, I do believe that ACMofficial are better than this.
