Horror Short Review: Did You Lock Your Door? (2025)
Did You Lock Your Door? is a short horror film written and directed by Corbin Jacobs. A low-budget and amateurish debut with enough compelling aspects to keep the viewer engaged.
The story is really simple. A young man returns home after a long day at work, has a drink, and promptly falls asleep on his sofa. Waking up in the dead of night, he realises he forget to lock the front door, and it is wide open.

He’s a little too blasé about this, but he does, at least, look around and confirm that no-one is in the house before going to bed.
He’s not asleep long though before a sound downstairs wakes him up. Someone, or something, is in the house.
It’s a cool horror short that does showcase effort and that makes it more enjoyable. Sure, it’s not the best looking film or the best sounding film or the best acted film or the best paced film, but I liked it none the less.
