Horror Short Review: Choose Your Fate (2025)
From Sean Killion and Cora Marie Sfida (Tommy Marie Pictures) comes the fun nostalgia-laden video-game themed horror short, Choose Your Fate.
What would you do if you received a cryptic package late one night and inside it was a video game cartridge? Why, dust off the old Nintendo 64 and get playing! Which is exactly what this short’s reclusive gamer does, having become bored of his modern space shooter game.

So, what joy awaits on this grubby cartridge? It’s a game called ‘Choose Your Fate’ and it blurs the lines of the virtual world and reality significantly. Every choice matters, and each could be his last.

It’s not an original idea, but that hardly matters when it is delivered in a really exciting and fun way. It’s shot nicely, it sounds solid, the acting is decent, and it builds up tension nicely. I would say that the final reveal/scare isn’t the best, but it doesn’t stop the short being enjoyable. Choose Your Fate is good horror fun.
