Horror Short Review: Accidents Happen (2025)

In the kitchen… accidents happen. Who knew pasta-making could turn into a recipe for disaster?

Written, directed, and edited by Jeffrey Scott, Accidents Happen is a delightfully entertaining horror short that approaches things from a tongue in cheek perspective. Evident by the jaunty music and ‘over the top’ acting from a lead who is getting far too much joy from making pasta.

It’s this silliness that makes the short notable, especially as we see her accidentally ‘final destination’ up her kitchen and make a mockery of her fresh pasta making skills when she resorts to using frozen meatballs!

This is the start of a series of insane accidents that results in several people dead, but in amusing fashion, bad CGI included. It’s not a great horror short, but the effort put in is admirable and the comedic tone will win most over. It’s definitely worth a watch.
