Bloodstock 2025 Band Feature: Mechromorph

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Bloodstock time and 2025 is looking to be one of the best events the festival has ever put on, if we’re judging it by bands… which we are, of course.

Taking place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from August 7th to August 10th, Bloodstock Festival 2025 has not only sold out all its weekend tickets, but it also sold out day tickets for the Saturday and the Sunday and it seems likely that Friday will follow suit before the festival actually starts. Boasting a lineup that includes the likes of Emperor, Lacuna Coil, Ministry, Mastodon, Fear Factory, Static-X, Nailbomb, Kataklysm, Obituary, and headliners, Trivium, Machine Head, Gojira, and so much more spread across four stages, it’s going to be one hell of a weekend.

Mechromorph

Those daring to be at the Timothy Taylors New Blood stage when Mechromorph play are in for a treat. The death metal/deathcore band known for its slam and brutal death metal sound is one of the heaviest bands on the bill. Showcasing influences from hardcore and tech death with a reputation for crushing riffs and pig squeals. It’s going to be 30-minutes of pain.

Hailing from Essex and having formed in 2014, they have spent years cultivating a reputation for carnage and this year’s Essex Metal 2 the Masses’ events were the proof. One of the most hotly contested M2TMs, it speaks volumes about the strength behind Mechromorph that they would come out as winners, earning their spot at Bloodstock this year.

It’s not just live where they wreck though and over the years the group have delivered some crushing releases. From the self-titled EP back in 2018 (featuring the likes of Welcome to the Sprawl, High Hrothgar Slam Squad, and Rupture Farms) to 2024’s singles, ‘Lunar Psychosis’ and ‘Cosmic Aberration’, Mechromorph have kept busy and that continues beyond Bloodstock as well, with an album due at some point in the future.

We spoke to Mechromorph and asked them what it means to play the festival this year, what Bloodstock overall means to them, and what attendees can expect from their set:

To be playing Bloodstock this year is honestly a milestone moment for us. After years of putting in the work writing, rehearsing and gigging this feels like a huge step forward. Winning Essex Metal 2 The Masses and playing the New Blood Stage is the kind of recognition that every underground band dreams about.

It’s an opportunity to discover new metal bands, meet new likeminded people and of course have our music discovered this time around.

Bloodstock means a lot to us it’s the best metal festival in the UK. For a band like ours, unsigned and grinding it out. Bloodstock isn’t just a festival it’s an opportunity

Attendees can expect a tight, heavy, and relentless set we’re not here to mess around as this is the biggest stage we’ve played, and we’re bringing everything we’ve got. If you’re into Blast beating, pig squealing, tech-riffing, slam infused deathcore intensity, that’s exactly what we’ll deliver.
