Static Abyss – The Dying Hunt

Doom-laden, brutal death-metal band Static Abyss, who feature Autopsy’s Chris Reifert & Greg Wilkinson, have announced their 3rd album ’The Dying Hunt, which is out on 28th August (Peaceville). hey’ve also shared the album’s title track.

There’s a lot to unpack here, and it’s a track that needs multiple listens to fully appreciate, but in a nutshell, it’s a punkish blast of blackened death metal noise with thick doom atmosphere. Twisted, layered with horror elements, and salaciously addictive, it’s one hell of a track.

Controversial – Get God, Get Fucked

Controversial is back and at it again with a new single, ‘Get God, Get Fucked’.

Says the band:

This song is about religion and how one in general is not getting ahead when being involved with some sort of a god belief.

It’s been a while since I’ve checked in with Controversial, and the good news is that the one-man project is as provocative as ever. A dark and devilish showcase of industrial noise layered with drama and atmosphere; this is Controversial at its best, dangerous and daring.
