EP Review: Demonic Resurrection – Apocalypse Dawn (Self Released)

Indian metal veterans Demonic Resurrection, who are celebrating 25 years, have announced the release of a new EP on 6th February 2026. The new EP is titled ‘Apocalyptic Dawn’ and features 3 songs recorded by the new lineup featuring Demonstealer, Aditya Swaminathan, Nikhil Rajkumar and Swarnava Sengupta.

Twenty-five years of banging heads to one of India’s best metal bands. Demonic Resurrection need no introduction as no self-respecting metalhead should be in the dark about who they are.

This EP serves two main purposes.

One, to celebrate the band’s incredible milestone and two, to show that they’re moving forward. This isn’t just about the past, it’s about the future too, and that is very exciting. Especially as, based off the tracks here, it’s coming with a ton of fiery blackened intensity, progressive death, dramatic melody, and potent cinematic aspects. Much of which can be attributed to Anabelle Iratni (Veille/ex-Cradle of Filth) who plays keyboards on the EP.

A mix of nostalgia and creativity makes this one hell of a listen. Delivering a trio of tracks that have plenty of heft, even more girth, and are lavishly detailed throughout. Any inkling that they are slowing down or losing their edge is completely dismissed in the face of three blazing, brutal efforts. Long live Indian heavy metal, and long live Demonic Resurrection.

Demonic Resurrection – Apocalyptic Dawn Track Listing:
