Single Slam: Indica Blues and Fossilization!
Today’s single slam features Indica Blues and Fossilization. You can read our thoughts about the latest singles from these bands below.
Indica Blues – The Raven
UK psychedelic doom and stoner heavyweights Indica Blues return in 2026 with their most ambitious and apocalyptic work to date. Their long-awaited new album, ‘Universal Heat Death’, will be released on January 31st via digital platforms and CD. To herald the album’s arrival, Indica Blues have also unveiled their new single ‘The Raven’.
Oozing darkened blues, but still doom-driven, this new single from the mighty Indica Blues comes with a hefty sound. Titanic-sized riffs, bullish drums, and smooth vocals, the entire track comes with some psych-tinged groove. If all that wasn’t enough, it has a kick ass guitar solo too. As a sign of things to come, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Fossilization – Cremation of A Seraph
Emerging once again from the abyssal depths of the underground, death metal’s Fossilization return with ‘Advent of Wounds’, their brand-new album. Out on CD, tape, and digital via Everlasting Spew Records. The first single, ‘Cremation of A Seraph’ is out now.
Angry, ugly, and intense, Fossilization do not mess around here. Delivering a frenzied cacophony of brutality across five minutes. It’s coarse and harsh to the ears, but the dedication to speed and heaviness is really admirable. When the tempo does shift, it just gets darker and heavier. I dig it.
