Interview: Catching Up With Non Talkers (Written)
It’s been a while since we checked in on the indie pop-folk duo, Non Talkers. In this interview we catch up with them, and see what they’ve been up to since we last spoke.
1. Hello! Welcome back. It’s been a little while, so first things first, how are you and have there been any significant changes since we last spoke?
We’re doing really well, thank you! A lot has happened since we last spoke, we’ve grown both personally and musically, and we’re stepping into a new phase of our journey with fresh energy. It feels like an exciting transition point for Non Talkers.
2. So, what’s new? What’s keeping you busy this time around? A new album/EP/single release? A new video? Playing live, or planning ahead?
Right now, we’ve just kicked off our Weight of Doubt tour, which will continue throughout 2025 and into 2026. Alongside touring, we’re releasing new singles gradually instead of dropping a whole album at once. We’re also working on visuals and videos that add new layers to the songs. So it’s definitely a busy and creative season for us.
3. Describe what fans/listeners can expect.
Fans can expect heartfelt storytelling, harmonies that carry both warmth and intensity, and a live experience that feels both intimate and powerful. Whether it’s through the recordings or on stage, we want people to feel deeply connected to the songs and to us as artists.
4. Tell me about the work that has gone into making it a reality and what it means to you to see it come to fruition?
It’s been a lot of dedication behind the scenes, countless hours of writing, rehearsing, and planning every detail of the tour and releases. There are sacrifices along the way, but when we finally step on stage or release a new song, it all makes sense. Seeing people connect with our music makes every bit of effort worthwhile.
5. Sum up what this latest development says about you and where you find yourself at this moment in time?
It shows that we’re evolving and not afraid to take new steps. We’re more confident in our sound and vision than ever before, and we feel like we’re entering a chapter where we can truly share who we are without compromise. This moment is about growth, resilience, and staying true to our path as artists.
6. Has the time since we last spoke been a mostly positive period and has there been any one thing that stands out as being good?
Yes, it’s been mostly positive. The highlight has definitely been stepping onto bigger stages and seeing more and more people connect with our music. Feeling that growth in our audience and energy at shows has been really rewarding.
7. How about something that has challenged you since we last spoke? Has there been any particular thing that tested you, and if so, how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the artistic side with the business side of music. It can be tough to manage both worlds without losing focus. We’ve learned to overcome it by building routines, trusting the process, and reminding ourselves why we started making music in the first place.
8. What is a realistic goal you’d like to achieve over the next 12 months?
A realistic goal for us is to keep growing the Weight of Doubt tour, reaching new cities and audiences across Europe, while releasing more singles along the way. On a deeper level, we’d love to strengthen the bond with our listeners and expand our community, making sure the people who discover us feel part of our journey.
