Video Premiere: Callas – Doxa (Official Music Video)
Introducing Callas: a bold and cathartic force in the realm of post-rock and experimental metal.

Callas hails from the lush, windswept edges of Cork, Ireland. This sonic force—Dom Murphy (vocals, guitars), Cormac Shanley (bass), Ruairi Lynch (production, drums and guitar)—delivers a raw, atmospheric blend of heavy music with the emotional depth and texture of something far bigger than genre.
Featuring former members of post-rock band Ealadha and the creative spark of Bantum’s Ruairi Lynch, Callas crafts music that’s as textured as it is intense—a moody, modern take on heavy music that doesn’t play by the rules.
Callas released their new single ‘Doxa’ on June 27th this year, and now release the official music video for it.

Speaking about the track, Callas vocalist and guitarist Dom Murphy comments:
This song definitely has a cinematic feel to it. In its 4 minutes of runtime it packs a lot in! I think it just might be the best song we have penned thus far and it’s certain to pave the way for our sound on our next releases.
I wrote much of the song while watching dramatic movie clips from movies and music videos (from the likes of Lorn)…the more heart wrenching the better helped fuel it and provide pacing. Hopefully listeners can get a sense of that.
In our 9/10 review we said the following:
A band who embody the inherent beauty that comes from post rock, while showcasing their own stylish approach, Callas follow up an unbeatable EP with a more challenging listen. Yet, it once again, proves to be utterly addictive and wholly hypnotic. Part of which comes from the dreaminess of the melody, but part of which also comes from a more intangible form that makes this feel darker and heavier at times. It’s a fascinating track and a sure sign that is band is evolving in exciting ways.
We also loved their debut EP, ‘Days’, released in July 2024, giving it a 10/10, calling it:
A contender for the best EP of the year based off the title track alone. Then, you add the other two tracks, and it’s hard to see Days being topped. It’s a stunner of a release that leaves you wanting so much more.
