Bloodstock 2025 Band Feature: VMBRA

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Bloodstock time and 2025 is looking to be one of the best events the festival has ever put on, if we’re judging it by bands… which we are, of course.

Taking place at Catton Park, Derbyshire from August 7th to August 10th, Bloodstock Festival 2025 has not only sold out all its weekend tickets, but it also sold out day tickets for the Saturday and the Sunday and it seems likely that Friday will follow suit before the festival actually starts. Boasting a lineup that includes the likes of Emperor, Lacuna Coil, Ministry, Mastodon, Fear Factory, Static-X, Nailbomb, Kataklysm, Obituary, and headliners, Trivium, Machine Head, Gojira, and so much more spread across four stages, it’s going to be one hell of a weekend.

VMBRA

Hailing from diverse musical backgrounds, Vmbra are a progressive rock and metal band fusing disparate genres together in a unique way. It is a sound that fuses intricate time signatures and dynamic sections, with an emphasis on powerful riffs, melodious harmonies, heavy breakdowns, and soaring choruses.

Since forming 2022, they have been on a sonic journey that has seen them play all around the country, earning themselves a hardcore fanbase, and releasing their debut EP, ‘RESVRGAM’ in 2022. Following that up with the 2024 EP, ‘DELAPSVS’, which featured the single ‘Echelon’.

Their most recent release was the single ‘Money Tree’, which came out earlier in the year, but Vmbra are hard at work recording an album that they are hopeful to have out later this year. This, alongside winning the Manchester leg of Metal 2 the Masses, earning their spot at Bloodstock, and getting out and about throughout summer.

They will be on the Timothy Taylors New Blood stage on the Friday of the festival, so we asked them what it means to play the festival this year, what Bloodstock overall means to them, and what attendees can expect from their set. This is what they had to say:

Pure excitement! Honoured to be welcomed to the bloodstock family and can’t wait to do everyone proud. We can’t quite believe we are seeing our name on the same poster as some of our heroes.

We’ve been honing our live set to be the hardest hitting thing we can muster so, expect big harmonies, thunderous riffs, a little bit of silliness and so many musical left turns we will be facing the same direction we started at.

We’re hoping this is the start of a beautiful relationship with the festival and that as we carry on our own musical journey we can check in every now and then to see how everyone is doing.
