Horror Movie Review: Home with a View of the Monster (2019)
Home with a View of the Monster is a cool film with some really clever ideas that, almost inevitably, gets bogged down in the detail of those ideas.

Coming from director Mark S. Allen, who wrote the story with Howard Burd, Don’t Answer is a low-budget indie flick filled with fun, violence and gore, but one with messages about institutional failures and trust.
The Carpenter’s Son is a horror film that deals with Jesus’ teenage years and Satan’s attempts to lead him into a life of sin. It sure seems like an ill-conceived idea.
Did You Lock Your Door? is a short horror film written and directed by Corbin Jacobs. A low-budget and amateurish debut with enough compelling aspects to keep the viewer engaged.
Written, edited, shot and directed By Tyson Edwards, Look Closer is a disconcerting horror short that stars Thompson Sewell as The Painter.
Written and directed by Paul Evans Thomas, Within the Pines is all about sound. Not just what you hear, but what you don’t as well. Sometimes silence is more oppressive than anything else.
What we have here is the Silent Hill 2 shell and nothing more. All story depth is missing, all character depth is missing (shockingly in some cases), and any attempt to deal with heavy themes is lost in a miasma of safe ideas and unconvincing plot choices.
What an absolute mess Dark Tower is. A supernatural horror with very little action, horrible pacing, bad effects, iffy acting, and an ending that is eyebrow raising at best.
