Formed in January 2018, Temples on Mars are an alternative progressive rock band from London, UK, featuring James Donaldson on guitar/vocals, Gerald Gill on guitar, Daz Carikas on bass guitar, and Dean Gibb on drums. They are here to present an accessible, progressive rock sound to Plant Earth!

They released their second full-length album, ‘The Last Ship’ on October 31st, 2025. A sonically expansive and emotionally charged collection that marks a bold evolution in the band’s sound. Building on the foundations of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut and the darker, electronic explorations of Parallels V.1, the new album pushes boundaries further than ever before.

 

 

We spoke to guitarist/vocalist James Donaldson about the new album, the work that went into making it a reality, the challenges experienced, the growth of the band, and so much more.
