Interview: Catching Up With Otherworldly Entity (Written)

It’s been a while since we checked in on the indie nu-metal, alternative rock, and hard rock band, Otherworldly Entity. In this interview we catch up with them, and see what they’ve been up to.

1. Hello! Welcome back. It’s been a little while, so first things first, how are you and have there been any significant changes since we last spoke?

I think everyone has been through a lot, but we’re really excited for the new material we’ve been working on. I feel like it’s the most evolved sound we’ve had.

2. So, what’s new? What’s keeping you busy this time around? A new album/EP/single release? A new video? Playing live, or planning ahead?

We have a new single and music video coming out for our song Tower. It’s the first release off our next album called Mycerium, and the video is really visually special.

3. Describe what fans/listeners can expect.

Our sound has evolved quite a bit. Higher highs, lower lows, and more of that emotion that we’ve become known for. We want to relate to the whole human experience.

4. Tell me about the work that has gone into making it a reality and what it means to you to see it come to fruition?

As far as this music video goes, we did everything from scratch. Dying fabric, making outfits, creating accessories. Even building a giant portal in a remote forest. It’s a lot of work to bring these concepts to life.

5. Sum up what this latest development says about you and where you find yourself at this moment in time?

I think a lot of us are kind of lost, but we’re finding our way. We just wanted to do something that represented us, not trying to fit into anyone else’s ideas. That’s really what the song Tower is about. Finding your way.

6. Has the time since we last spoke been a mostly positive period and has there been any one thing that stands out as being good?

We make the best of everything. We’ve all been working on ourselves as individuals, and bringing it back into the band. I think that’s something that people will see.

7. How about something that has challenged you since we last spoke? Has there been any particular thing that tested you, and if so, how did you overcome it?

We’ve struggled a lot to “fit in.” To try to find our place in the world as artists. This new song, and the new album, are really us just doing what we want to do and not trying to fit in anymore.

8. What is a realistic goal you’d like to achieve over the next 12 months?

We want to be touring more in 2026. That’s a huge goal for us.
