Interview: Catching Up With Leaving Eden (Written – 2025)
It’s been a little while since we checked in on rock band Leaving Eden, so in this interview we find out what they’ve been up to since we last spoke.

1. Hello! Welcome back. It’s been a little while, so first things first, how are you and have there been any significant changes since we last spoke?
Hi, just to reintroduce your readers, I’m Eric Gynan Co-founder of the bands Leaving Eden & Silver Springs Fleetwood Mac Tribute (2 different bands with the same members). A little introduction.

Label: Verdict Music, Sony/Universal World Wide Distribution

Rich Chouinard Bass/Vocals
Eric Gynan Guitar/Vocals
2. What’s new? What’s keeping you busy this time around? A new album/EP/single release? A new video? Playing live, or planning ahead?
Since we last interviewed we’ve released School’s Out originally by Alice Cooper, Rendition By Leaving Eden Official Music Video.
3. Describe what fans/listeners can expect.
We found 2 old school busses at 2 separate venues we perform at. That was pretty fortunate for us at Iron Tails and The Hawgspen. Both places we just happened to be performing at so we shot the video. It’s our take on Alice Cooper’s song. We got some love shots at different venues as well. It’s a fun song and love Eve’s vocals on this. The entire band as you can see had a blast.
4. Tell me about the work that has gone into making it a reality and what it means to you to see it come to fruition?
Good question. We were looking for the right location and again just stumbled upon theses school buses. Then figuring out the storyline, the shoot and then all the production and editing involved is time consuming. We are all set with using AI for anything really. We’d rather think for ourselves kindly and do the work and come up with our own ideas.
5. Sum up what this latest development says about you and where you find yourself at this moment in time?
I think it speaks to the fact that we keep going, releasing new material no matter what. With a heavy touring schedule it gets tough to get everyone together and make things happen but we do it!
6. Has the time since we last spoke been a mostly positive period and has there been any one thing that stands out as being good?
Yes, completely positive. First and foremost, we are still a band after many years. That speaks volumes where the odds of a band sticking together for a long period of time are greatly against you.
7. How about something that has challenged you since we last spoke? Has there been any particular thing that tested you, and if so, how did you overcome it?
Well, there’s always challenges in any relationship with others. It comes down to fundamental communication with each other and if you’re all good people, there’s other forces out there trying to stifle you, especially if you do good deeds for others. That old saying, “No good deed goes unpunished” is very true. I think though, that one is always being tested, will you succumb or succeed? It’s always been up to you.
8. What is a realistic goal you’d like to achieve over the next 12 months?
Continue touring, breaking into new and exciting territories as we forge ahead. We’ve been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with so many great artists, touring The USA, UK & Canada sharing the stage with hundreds of the biggest national bands in the world including; Lacuna Coil, In This Moment, Black Sabbath (Heaven & Hell), Ronnie James Dio, Rob Zombie, 5 Finger DeathPunch, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZTop, Puddle of Mudd, Korn, Killswitch Engage, Buckcherry (Jefferson Starship, Big Brother and The Holding Company, Country Joe, 10 Years After, 40th Anniversary Woodstock) Shinedown, Dropkick Murphy’s, Alice in Chains, Papa Roach, Bret Michaels, Halestorm,Theory of a Deadman, Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Hell Yeah, Trapt, Dope, Soil, Fuel, Queensryche, Saving Abel, Hinder, Damage Plan, 7Dust, Sebastian Bach, SoulFly, Days of the New, NonPoint, DrowningPool, The Misfits, The Butcher Babies, Collective Soul, MushroomHead, Mudvayne, Chevelle, Godsmack, Powerman 5000, 10Years, Taproot, Gin Blossoms, Michael Schenker (UFO, MSG & The Scorpions) Herman Rarebell (The Scorpions), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Kittie, One eyed doll, Uncle Kracker, Tremonti (Creed/Alterbridge) Lamb of god, Slayer, Stone Sour, Motorhead, Blackstone Cherry, HOOKERS & BLOW Featuring GUNS N’ ROSES, QUIET RIOT, W.A.S.P.
