Horror Short Review: SANTA – The Pizza Delivery (2025)
Having reviewed plenty of Jiya Kapur Films’ horror shorts to date, I think I’m in a good position to judge when the creator is trying and when they’re really not. There have been good shorts and bad shorts, but nothing quite like Santa – The Pizza Delivery, which I am convinced is joke film. How else can the lack of effort be explained?
It gives me no pleasure to say this, and it does make me a bit of a Grinch, but this is a really bad short.

Set on Christmas Eve, although clearly filmed in the Autumn, a woman decides she wants pizza, so orders in. The phone call scene summarises this short perfectly – two people who aren’t having a conversation sounding awkward as they deliver overly long lines. If that wasn’t bad enough, the entire scene goes on for ages.
Finally, her pizza turns up and it’s a Christmas Special Pizza delivered by Santa Claus himself.

Well, a person in a Santa costume, who is unhappy to not receive a tip. Maybe. It’s hard to tell as the sound is so muffled I could barely understand him. Although at least I got to enjoy the hilarity of a pizza delivery person handing over a shop bought pizza still in its packet to the woman and her having to act like that was totally normal.
Anyway. Something about it being a killer Santa and not actually a pizza deliver guy. I stopped caring. Watch this one if you want, I don’t recommend it at all and it is likely to make you feel less festive.
