Written, edited, shot and directed By Tyson Edwards, Look Closer is a disconcerting horror short that stars Thompson Sewell as The Painter.

He is working on a piece late one night. Clearly tired and running on energy drinks, he rubs his eyes and when he looks back, his painting has been replaced with a different one. One hidden behind paper and with a tag attached saying ‘look closer’.

What is under the paper? A scene of absolute horror and then, like the tag suggested, he looks closer.

No spoilers, Look Closer keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat leading to a frightening ending that showcases directing talent. Tyson Edwards really gets the most out of every scene, creating a ton of tension, and wrapping the story up in exciting fashion. It’s well worth a watch.
