Horror Short Review: Easter 2 (2025)

The second entry in ACMofficial’s Easter-themed horror short series, Easter 2 comes from writer and director, Alex Magaña and stars Erin Sunisa, Kevin Sanchez, and Lars Eric Joehnk.

A young woman making Easter treats has got the attention of the killer bunny rabbit, and it’s not long before its stalking both her and her boyfriend.

There’s very little to this short, delivering a themed slasher with good visuals, sounds, and costumed killer. For a short like this to work, it relies on the idea that people treat Easter like Christmas, which is dumb, but it does allow the writing to get pun heavy. Also, while the overall concept does little for me, I do like the fact that the killer uses carrots to finish off its victims.
