Horror Short Review: Deep End (2023)

Directed by Anthony Sellitti, who co-wrote the story with Zachary Donohue, comes Deep End, a chilling horror short that stars Cardin Benjamin and Joe Pease.

The former is teenage boy cycling home during an unprecedented heatwave when he sees, what appears to be, an abandoned swimming pool. Looking to cool off, he sees no harm in going for a dip, but will shortly discover that this is no ordinary swimming pool.

An absolute treat of a horror short that takes something as innocent and fun as a swimming pool and turns it into something so terrifying. All thanks to a smart and simple story, incredible visuals (in particular, the underwater scenes), and a deliciously dark ending. You don’t want this one spoiled for you, so check it out yourself below.
