Winchester Mystery House is a roughly 161 room mansion that is widely considered one of the most ghostly locations on the planet. Its layout is maze-like with certain areas within the grounds only being discovered recently. It Sounds like the perfect setting for a horror movie to me, what could go wrong?
In 1914, a young Irishman named Friend travels to a remote island in the South Atlantic to work as a meteorologist. Once there, he discovers a drunk, unkempt lighthouse keeper named Gruner. He coldly informs Friend that his predecessor had passed away on the island. However, it soon becomes clear that something far more extraordinary and sinister is taking place on the eerie, secluded refuge.
Abzû is an adventure video game developed by Giant Squid Studios. A studio made up of many of the creative minds behind Journey. If that alone doesn’t make Abzû sound like something worth playing then hopefully my review will do just that.
The Endless is a Sci-Fi Horror film that follows two brothers who receive a cryptic video message inspiring them to revisit the UFO death cult they escaped a decade earlier. The message talks of an upcoming “ascension”. Hoping to find closure, they return but everything may not be what it seems.
The crews aboard the Royal Navy’s polar explorer ships HMS Erebus and HMS Terror venture into uncharted territory seeking the Northwest Passage. The ships are soon stuck, frozen and isolated, and those aboard must survive the harsh weather conditions, mutiny and cannibalism, all while being stalked by an elusive menace.
Darkness Wakes follows Charlotte (Aisling Knight), a psychology student who’s looking for any work that pays. She stumbles across an ad for a job that’s enquiring about a cat sitter. It sounds too good to be true so she heads to the secluded, manor property to have an interview. While there, she meets Mr & Mrs Farrow. They come across quite eccentric but are nice enough and they are willing to pay her £200 a day to cat sit. It’s only for 3 days and it feels like a no-brainer so she accepts the job.
Breaking news! Vampires have just revealed themselves to the world. They have been living among us all along but it isn’t all bad news. Sure, they’ve been slaughtering humans for centuries but they have seen the error of their ways. Now, they want to figuratively step into the light and co-exist with humanity.
