EP Review: SINCE 2000 – neverland [CHAPTER II] (Easy Life Records)

On neverland [CHAPTER II], SINCE 2000 complete the story they began with chapter I, closing the curtain on a coming of age narrative that confronts the darker corners of growth, identity and healing. Out April 24th, 2026, via Easy Life Records.

Darker, heavier, and more intense, this second chapter of neverland is the yang to the first chapter’s yin. Not only complimenting the latter’s poppier side but evolving it and showing off different sides to the band. This is a SINCE 2000 that everyone can love, and they set a very high bar with the experimental [prologue II] and following Running from my crimes. The former is an example of where vocal effects work, and it flows nicely into the more energetic latter. Since 2000’s poppy side is on full display here, but it’s notable just how much extra bite there is.

Nosferatũ comes next and if you want to hear pop-infused power blended with modern alternative rock and metal intensity, this is the track for you. It’s an anthem with intoxicating emotion layered within and a firm favourite. Although I can also say the same about the mighty SHUDDERING and how it uses electronica in an unpredictable and dangerous way. There’s a breakdown here and it slays.

Does it get more creative? I think a lot of people are going to love lost_BOYS, as much for the narrative as the musicality. A showcase of SINCE 2000’s maturity that has them looking outwards instead of inwards. Then there is the exhilarating HELLelujah!, a hyperactive effort that also features the talents of Lo Rays. They collaborate well together, especially when it’s time to get a bit heavy.

Wrapping things up is FALLout, and here SINCE 2000 showcase a stark coldness that comes with layers of effective moodiness. A reflective track with a cinematic edge, it’s the perfect culmination of an exhaustive journey. Not just with this EP, but with the neverland saga overall.

It’s an EP that might come shrouded in darkness, but it shows that SINCE 2000’s future has never seemed brighter.
