Horror Short Review: ELF The Christmas Curse (2025)
Written and directed by Sylvain Pelissier, ELF The Christmas Curse is a fun French festive horror short with a delightfully twisted ending.

Coming in at under three minutes, the short sees a man decorating a Christmas tree when he stumbles across an elf figurine. He’s never seen it before, but is thoroughly unimpressed, throwing it to the side. If that wasn’t insulting enough, in a call to his partner, he calls the elf ugly but fails to pick up on the fact that she says she has no idea how it got amongst their decorations.

Well, he’s about to find out, and he’s going to regret insulting the cute looking toy. No surprises here, but it’s still really likable. I was particularly impressed by the effects in one scene. It’s definitely worth a watch, especially as it feels suitably festive.
